# Module 10: Claude Cowork
## Demo: The Cowork Sprint

Participants use Claude Cowork to produce a complete deliverable from scratch in 60 minutes. This file is the project brief they work from.

## Sprint Brief: Q4 Business Review Presentation

**Your role:** You are an operations manager at Greenfield Manufacturing. The quarterly business review is tomorrow. Your boss wants a presentation.

**What you have:**
- The Q4 sales data CSV (`quarterly-sales-messy.csv`)
- The interview transcript with Maria Flores (`sample-interview-transcript.txt`)
- The employee handbook excerpt (`employee-handbook-excerpt.txt`)
- These verbal notes from your boss:

```
"I need a 6-slide deck for the leadership team tomorrow morning.
Cover Q4 sales performance, the operations improvements we made
this quarter (use Maria's quotes), any HR policy updates we should
flag, and our priorities for Q1 2026. Make it look professional.
I don't have time to review it tonight, so it needs to be
presentation-ready."
```

**What you need to produce:**
1. A branded presentation (PPTX or PDF) with 6 slides
2. A one-page executive summary document
3. Speaker notes for each slide

**Rules for the sprint:**
- You may only interact through Claude Cowork
- You select the folder with these source files
- You ask Cowork to read the files, analyze the data, and produce the deliverables
- You may refine through conversation but you cannot open another tool

## Facilitator Setup Instructions

Before the sprint:
1. Create a folder called `qbr-sprint` on each participant's machine
2. Copy these files into it:
   - `quarterly-sales-messy.csv`
   - `sample-interview-transcript.txt`
   - `employee-handbook-excerpt.txt`
3. Have participants open Claude Desktop and select this folder

**Suggested opening prompt for participants who get stuck:**

```
I need to prepare a quarterly business review presentation for tomorrow morning. I have three source files in this folder:
1. quarterly-sales-messy.csv - our Q4 2025 sales data
2. sample-interview-transcript.txt - an interview about our operations improvements
3. employee-handbook-excerpt.txt - our HR policies for reference
Please:
1. Read all three files
2. Analyze the sales data: total revenue, revenue by product and region, top customers, trends
3. Pull key quotes from the interview transcript about operations improvements
4. Note any HR policy items that leadership should be aware of
5. Create a 6-slide presentation covering: Q4 Sales Performance, Operations Improvements, HR Updates, Q1 2026 Priorities
6. Write a one-page executive summary
7. Include speaker notes for each slide
Make it professional and presentation-ready. Use clean formatting.
```

## What This Exercise Teaches

1. **File-based workflows.** Cowork reads files from your computer. No copy-pasting needed.
2. **Multi-source synthesis.** The real power is combining a CSV, a transcript, and a policy document into a single coherent deliverable.
3. **End-to-end production.** Cowork produces actual files (PPTX, DOCX, PDF) that you can email or present. This is not a chat demo.
4. **Iteration inside Cowork.** When the first version isn't right, you refine through conversation without leaving the tool.
